What a morning for the Hurricanes! 

Thanks to tremendous efforts in and out of the pool, we defeated the Riverside Gardens Tsunami 231–188 to remain undefeated this season. It was a true team win, with swimmers, coaches, officials, timers, and volunteers all playing a part in another memorable Saturday.

Huge congratulations to Olive Dunn, who broke not one but two 13/14 girls team records this morning. She smashed her own 50Y backstroke record with a 28.33, then turned around and broke her sister's 50Y fly record with a 28.89. Two records, one morning. No big deal.

'B' Meet @ Camelot | Monday, July 13, 6p

We are headed to Camelot on Monday for our final B-meet of the season. Monday evening “B Meets” are developmental meets, and all Hurricanes are encouraged to participate. 

Camelot will NOT be hosting a kickboard race at this meet.

Please take note of the details below, especially those regarding parking and photography

SIGN UP

• Swimmers can choose two individual events + IM.
• Important Note: If a swimmer placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in an event at the Saturday “A” meet, they cannot swim that stroke at the “B” meet.
• Signup Deadline: Monday at 12p (noon)
• Visit the Signup Calendar to sign up your swimmer and volunteer. Need help? Refer to the ‘B’ Meet Instructions under the Resources tab on the team site.

SWIMMER AND VOLUNTEER TIMING

• 5:10p: Swimmers arrive; HRA warm-ups begin at 5:25p
• 5:15p: Coaches, Marshals, Stroke/Turn Judges, Timers ready to meet with Referee for briefings
• 6:00p: Meet begins

Freestyle → Backstroke → IM → Breaststroke → Butterfly

LOCATION

Camelot Community Club is located at 3604 Balin Court, Annandale VA.

The parking lot address for GPS is 3705 Camelot Dr., Annandale, VA.

Parking 

No parking on or pulling into Balin Court cul-de-sac (with the exception of pulling in with any equipment, tents, etc) and handicap needs. Parents can drop swimmers off at the entrance to Balin Court, but there will be a Parking Marshal directing them to continue on.

The parking lot is located on Camelot Drive, across and to the right of where it meets Saxony Drive (3705 Camelot Dr would work for plugging into GPS). From the parking lot, a long, very steep path leads up to the pool. There will be a Marshal and signage helping direct traffic in that direction.

Street parking is allowed (with the exception of Balin Court), no parking within 15 feet of a fire hydrant and/or 10 feet of a driveway. Parking along Camelot Drive fills up quickly, so they recommend using the parking lot and/or carpooling.

TEAM + SPECTATOR

Our team area will be on the lower deck and will be sunny for part of the meet. We will bring canopies. Bring your own chair for swimmers and spectators!

WHAT TO WEAR

Please refer to the FAQs page on the website to see details on what to wear and bring to the meet.

PHOTOGRAPHY REMINDER

Their pool has spectator seating at the shallow end, where 25-meter races start. There can be NO PHOTOGRAPHING swimmers at the start of the race from behind “the blocks.” This is a USA Swimming rule that is enforced by the NVSL and the Camelot Knights.

Concessions will be available for purchase. They take cash and credit.
