Hello Hurricanes!

What a meet! The sun was shining, the flags were flying, and our swimmers were on fire 🔥. With a festive 4th of July theme setting the scene, our Hurricanes brought the heat and swam their hearts out - and we came away with another win🥇!

It wouldn’t be a home meet without some broken team records! 

🎉 Major congrats Thien Dinn, Zachary Moran, Miles Kowalewski, and David Judy for breaking the HRA 13-14 Boys Medley Relay record and to Olive Dunn for tying her HRA 13-14 Girls 50Y Back record. Well done!!

Every swimmer and volunteer contributed to an awesome meet. We’re so proud of how far the team has come this season and can’t wait to wrap it up with our last B meet on Monday and A meet next Saturday!

AWAY 'B' Meet | Monday, July 7, 6p

Our final B meet will be at Lake Braddock. This will be the last opportunity to swim a legal IM before the IM carnival (RSVP now for the IM Carnival).

Monday evening “B Meets” are developmental meets, and all Hurricanes are encouraged to participate. There will NOT be a kickboard race at this meet.

Sign Up:

• Swimmers can choose two individual events + IM.
• Important Note: If a swimmer placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in an event at the Saturday “A” meet, they cannot swim that stroke at the “B” meet.
• Signup Deadline: Monday at 12p (noon)
• Visit the Signup Calendar to sign up your swimmer and volunteer.

Swimmer and Volunteer Timing

• 5:00p: Swimmers arrive; HRA warm-ups begin at 5:20p
• 4:50p: Coaches and Marshals ready to meet with Referee for a safety briefing
• 5:20p: Marshals in place for warm-ups
• 5:30p: Deck Officials and timers arrive ready for briefings
• 6:00p: Meet begins

Parking and Facilities
There is ample parking at the pool. The team area is shaded by 6/6:30 pm but please, bring a chair 🪑!

Come Hungry!
The Laker Lounge will be open and ready to serve. They will have plenty of hot dinner options, cold drinks, snacks, treats, and snow cones. They accept cash and cards.

🚨 REMINDERS

1. Woodley Mini Meet - 10 and unders RSVP BY TODAY (details sent to 10 and under families in a previous email). Please make sure you login to choose which events your swimmer(s) would like to be entered in. 
2. IM Carnival -If your swimmer has a legal IM time, RSVP BY TUESDAY AT 8:00a (8 and unders can sign up for fly instead if they have a legal time)
3. Banquet- RSVP BY WEDNESDAY
