A Meet #1 🏊🏼♀️ Info & Details
Hello Hurricanes!
Our first A meet is taking place this Saturday, and we will be hosting Riverside Gardens.
POTLUCK & PEP RALLY | PASTA NIGHT
Join us Friday, June 13 at 6p to fuel up and get excited for the upcoming meet! Be sure to check the Potluck Event for your food assignments and all the details. We’re especially looking forward to seeing our Little Fins meet their Big Fins and hope to see all our Hurricane families there!
MEET SETUP
On Friday evening, after 8:50p, we can start prepping for Saturday morning—set up the Data Table and Announcer Station, arrange chairs and stanchions, prepare team areas with lounge chairs and benches for the Clerk of Course, etc.. We’ll keep in mind the members enjoying the Lower Pool, but we can get a head start.

The meet sheet is ready and can be downloaded here: https://hrahurricanes.swimtopia.com/resources
Please review the meet sheet carefully for your swimmer(s) name(s). We have some swim-ups for this meet so that you may find your swimmer(s) in an older age group. If your swimmer(s) weren’t selected to swim Saturday, we welcome you to come and cheer on the team! Stay tuned for more details regarding the upcoming ‘B’ meet.
The order of events will be freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and finishing with relays. Swimmers will cheer for their teammates from the team area, and coaches will direct them to the Clerk of Course benches when it’s time for their events.
The theme is Tropical—come dressed for an island vacation!

Remember, no caps with logos other than HRA, and no tie-back suits! Let us know if you have a new swimmer, and we will bring them a cap to the meet.
PARKING AND FACILITIES
The parking lot is reserved for the visiting team and those who require close parking. Our team should walk to the pool or park on nearby streets (and please respect our neighbors) or at Woodburn Elementary School.
The upper pool, basketball, ping-pong/foosball, playground, baby pool, etc, are off-limits to all swim team members during the meet, even if they are done swimming. The baby pool is always closed during morning meets until the facilities open to members at 11 am.
Swimmers and spectators are to use the restrooms in the Upper Pool House. The Lower Pool House restrooms are for the use of Officials only.
COME HUNGRY!
The Hurricane Café (our snack bar) will be serving breakfast foods, snacks, and beverages. The swim team receives all profits from concessions sales.
See you at the pool!
